I'm having a problem with my Toshiba A500 laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. It cannot find my HP 6310 Officejet All-in-one printer. I get a message that Microsoft Teredo tunneling adapter is not working. So far, I have been unable to find a solution to this problem.

So just wondering why this just popped up in my device manager. I noticed because tune-up utilities saying its not configured right and its got a little yellow icon with ! in device manager

I got a new ASUS K50C not so long ago, and am using Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter.

It was working with the ASUS Express Gate, but now I have Windows 7, and all I am getting is "No Connections Available" although I know there are at least 7 detectable wireless connections in this building (including mine). I've tried searching for connections - empty.

But! Yesterday I went to "Find and Fix networking and connection problems" and ! suddenly a whole list of networks (including mine) appeared and it worked great.

But after turning off the computer the networks are lost again, and the same "fix" as yesterday has no results!

Here's what I got from IPCONFIG...

Keep in mind that all the drivers seem to be updated (although there is no choice to rollback drivers).

Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

I bought windows 7 Ultimate, and installed it onto my windows Vista laptop, and everything is running smoothly. Until I tried to connect to my wireless router, but it keeps saying that I connect with limited connectivity, and troubleshoot says that it " does not have a valid IP configuration".

here is my ipconfig/all stuff...

can anyone help?

I suddenly lost my Wireless today on my Gateway laptop. I can access the router via ethernet cable and the network works perfectly however I have a Red X on the Internet Access icon on the taskbar and there are no networks detected. Adapter is on via the switch on the keyboard and the LED light is on. Device Manager says Marvell Topdog Adapter is OK.

I searched and tried various fixes but nothing works. Windows 7 Ultimate OS.

This laptop can access the internet and ping itself and the gateway, but can't ping other computers on the network. I am not using "HomeGroup" nor do I wish to. I had VMWare Workstation 7 and Comodo Internet Security 5 installed, but have since uninstalled them. I have the windows firewall disabled and all advanced sharing options at the most open settings on both computers. Both are running Win 7 x64 Ultimate. Both have the c drive shared and full permissions for everyone. Both have the same username and password. They do have different computer names and they are in the same workgroup. Both are connected through a wireless connection. The other computer can't see this laptop either. The drivers are the most up-to-date that I could find (the Acer website didn't offer a download for the wireless network card but I found one elsewhere.) The only other thing I can think of is that in the settings of utorrent, there is a button that says, "Install IPV6 Teredo," and I did click that button but I don't know how to undo it.

Here is the output of various command line commands:

After investigating those 2 possibilities, disable IPv6 in the network properties and disable IP Helper service, reboot.

My computer (using windows 7 Ultimate built 7600) cannot connect to the internet, it keep saying "identifying ...", nothing more happen.

I tried both reinstall and ghost many times, no can do. The problem didn't occur after fresh install or ghost. I can connect to the network freely but after several hours, for example I was on the web, it just suddenly lost connection and the yelow ! appear.

I also tried the newest network driver (reatek), the same result.

My laptop (Macbook) which is using wifi network is fine. It can go to the net just like normal. I can connect to the gateway using my laptop (192.168.1.1) but the computer isn't - cannot ping any ip either. Note that the problem didn't occur in windows XP (same computer) so I guess it's windows 7's fault.

I know this has been posted many times but I've looked through countless other threads and nothing has worked for me.

I've searched many forums and tried over 20 different things, from manually setting the IP, disabling the IPv6, something involving DCHP and many other options I did not even understand. Here is what my ipconfig/all says: Thanks for any help.

Both my laptop and desktop are running Windows 7 64 bit. They both have the same issue through wired ethernet, but not through wireless connections. The reason I do not use wireless is because I only have 2-zero bars in my room.

I am at a college campus and they have said the problem is mine and not theirs.

The problem is that whenever my computer turns on or awakens from sleep, the ethernet connection is gone and for about 15 minutes it says "Identifying... No Internet Access." The wired connection starts after about 15 minutes, but this is insanely difficult and frustrating to maneuver around since I often don't have 15 minutes to wait.

I have tried various things from forums to no avail. These things include disabling IP 6, updating my ethernet driver from the website, manually setting the IP, and disabing Avast. I do not have any firewall other than Windows Firewall and only have basic programs like Office, Itunes, Firefox....

I am convinced the issue is with the college network, but they have said their test computer was unable to duplicate my problem in my room.

Please help! This is maddening.

I have an interesting problem. I've been using windows 7 for about two months now and i've had an internet connection that was working perfectly fine until one day it just crapped out on me and i have no idea why. Apparently the device is functioning properly and ive tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck whatsoever. I'm not sure what to do next any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is my first post to these forums. After reading a few threads, is seems that the people here are very knowledgeable and willing to help, which is exactly what I need.

I've got a brand new Revo Aspire Nettop which came with XP installed. The first thing I did was do a format/install of Windows 7 Ultimate. It's never been able to connect to the internet.

It's currently connected to "unknown public network" with no internet access. When i run the troubleshooting wizard I end up with "local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration." At first I thought it might be a hardware issue, but I tried two different usb NIC's and had the same results.

I also have a desktop running Vista Ultimate which is connected to the internet with no problems. I've included the ipconfig info from both machines below. I know next to nothing about networking, so I've been reading threads here trying to figure it out, but I'm hopelessly lost. I tried setting up a static IP, but didn't really know what I was doing and it didn't work. I sure would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

Intermittenly, I can't get wireless for some reason and get the msg: "Wireless doesn't have a valid IP configuration", with "unidentified network, no network access". In the past, I could just plug in to the wired connection and theIn suddenly, it would recognize the wireless. I can't seem to get it to work after reboot, turning off the router, etc. I've looked through other posts and tried various things and I don't have bonjour anywhere either that i can tell.
Any ideas? This makes me crazy! Thanks!

If i run ipconfig, i get:

Hello all, I found similar topics but not solution for mine, please help.

I connect to my home wifi and it says connected, but there is no internet connection.
I noticed that network adapter shows "wireless network connection 2" with that "2" at the end of name. I guess there is a problem. If I rename it to just "wireless network connection" it says it already exists. But cannot see it, and use it! Can anyone tell me how to reset it or somehow switch to "wireless network connection" without "2"?

Also when I type ipconfig/all I get this:

I am also wondering, if it is possible that high ping can cause wireless internet to disconnect
(sometimes my ping in the game becomes really high)

and maybe it can be caused by a lot of people on the same network (my brother, and me and my parents).

I really want this issue to be solved
thanks !

I really dont know if I had to paste this but anyway

Any and all help is much appreciated

The output of the "print route" command on my Win7x64 system is shown below.
The wireless adapter has been assigned to 198.168.2.72 by the router and the Gigabit wired connection has been manually assigned the static address 198.168.2.8

The strange thing is that the gateway metric which I believe is used to decide which connection to use is 25 for the wireless connection (i.e. fast) and 276 (i.e. slow) for the gigabit wired connection. But I expected this to be the other way around. Why does it think the wireless connection is faster? Does this mean that network traffic is generally routed thru the wireless adapter? Is there a way for me to tell which adapter is being used to route traffic?

Should I believe its reported speed, or should I force the metrics so that the wired connection is used by default. If so, what commands are used to force this priority, and do these commands need to be repeated after every boot, or are the permanent?

Thanks
~Paul
